Ironwood from the north region of Wisconsin. This bowl displays both the bark and the twisting fibers of the wood. The small foot gives the bowl an emerging cantilever feel.
Cigar Bowls
These bowls is intentionally designed to have a distinctive, natural, organic, rugged, masculine, rustic, old-world curiosity to them. Each cigar bowl starts with a precise identification process. I look for opportunities to allow a significant amount of the raw wood to be on display. This includes decay, wormholes, kerf marks, knots, bark, burn marks inclusions, and anything else that is a part of the wood when selected. Your ashes deserve a better place to rest.
